The lake of Saint-Jeanvrin is located on the Bourges / Montluçon axis, 10 km from Le Chatelet, 5 km from Chateaumeillant, in a village of 160 residents facing the ruins of a castle and a church classified as historical monuments.
The lake is located on a 33-hectare (82 acres) domain with a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation. The large fishing pond of 21 hectares (52 acres), with 17 hectares of water and 4 hectares of reed beds, is divided into 8 swims.
The lake is known for its wild and preserved nature. Anglers often describe the pond of Saint-Jeanvrin as one of the most beautiful they know. If you want to fish for carp in the Cher, you will be seduced by the fishing environment of Saint-Jeanvrin as well as by the carp stock that it contains.
Sandrine and Cyril, her husband, are very attached to the fish in the pond. As fish farmers, they have themselves greatly participated in the selection of the carp that live in this lake. The known stock is impressive: more than 460 carps from 10 kilos to 30 kilos (66lbs), 10 sturgeons, 35 grass carps, 6 Koï carps.
On the Saint-Jeanvrin domain, you will find showers and toilets in free access.
Tom Baits and Nemocarp baits are available for sale on the site, as well as some carp fishing tackle. You can order meals on site (breakfast, starter, main course, cheese, drinks), prepared with love by your host.
Bicycles can be rented on site to get you from your swims to the common areas. You can also rent a boat on site for your session (50€ for the week or 15€ for the weekend). However, you are not allowed to bring your own boat. Only your electric motor can be used on one of the boats rented on site.
Some swims have a pontoon to place your rods (swim 6, swim 8 and swim 14). A Rod-pod is welcome at these swims!
It is possible to book all the lake exclusively.
On swim 1, the limit is 4 rods for 2 anglers.
By coming to fish on the lake, anglers accept the following rules of procedure. Photographs taken on site may be used by the owners of the site (unless the angler requests otherwise when fishing). The owners are authorized to carry out random checks to verify compliance with the rules. An increased surveillance is made on the venue and the owners can exclude people who do not respect the rules. GoCarp and the owners of the lake are not responsible for any incident on the site (accidents, thefts...).
