Étang des Sensations features three spacious fishing swims, each accommodating up to 2 anglers. This ensures that each duo has approximately 1 hectare (≈2.5 acres) of fishing water, providing comfort and freedom. The pond is home to stunning common, mirror, and linear carp, colorful koi carp, as well as white amur and “diamond” sturgeon, offering varied and memorable catches.
Comfort on-site is deliberately simple: the swims are cleared to facilitate setting up your biwys, but provide only the essentials for a fully immersive experience in nature. Stéphane, the owner, personally ensures that each session runs smoothly and that the atmosphere remains friendly and respectful. Étang des Sensations is thus an authentic and preserved carp fishing destination, perfect for recharging and enjoying intense moments in harmony with nature.
Compliance with the rules is mandatory for all anglers. Any violation may result in permanent expulsion without refund. Upon arrival, payment for the session is due, and you acknowledge that you have read and understood the rules.
Anglers’ vehicles must remain in the parking area and are not allowed on the swims. Swimming and the consumption of illegal substances or excessive alcohol are prohibited. Quietness is essential: loud noises and ground fires are forbidden, with only raised barbecues permitted. All waste, cigarette butts, and bottle caps must be taken away at the end of the session to maintain the cleanliness of the site.
Pets are allowed, but must remain on the swim and be supervised. Guests, spouses, and children may stay overnight on the swim, but other visitors must leave the site by 7 PM. The owner declines all responsibility for accidents or theft, and in case of fish theft, legal action will be taken. Photos taken on-site may be published by the owner, unless otherwise requested.
Rules of fishing
Only catch-and-release carp fishing (No Kill) is allowed, and any mutilation of fish is strictly prohibited. Fishing activities are limited to each designated swim. If two anglers share a swim, they may use up to 3 rods each, with one hook per line (barbless hooks, sizes 4 to 12). Solo anglers are allowed up to 4 rods.
Special precautions apply to sturgeon: they must never be lifted out of the water when the temperature exceeds 20 °C (68 °F), and during photos, anglers should remain crouched over the landing mat. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in immediate expulsion.
Excess bait must not be thrown into the pond, and any nuisance species caught must be removed. Bait boats are permitted, provided they remain within the defined fishing zones.
Mandatory equipment
Braided line is allowed, except on reels, and leadcore must not exceed 50 cm (≈20 in). Fishing line must have a maximum diameter of 0.35 mm (≈35/100). A suitably sized landing mat and fish disinfectant are mandatory, and the mat must be well-moistened before each catch. Biwys must be green or camouflage in color.
Prohibited Equipment
Keep nets are prohibited, as well as boats such as rowboats or zodiacs. Marker buoys are also not allowed.
