Tranquillity and environmental respect are paramount at Étang di s’carpe. Ground fires are strictly prohibited, as is cutting wood or leaving litter in or around the lake. Visitors must use the provided toilets, and driving around the lake is not permitted, ensuring the preservation of this pristine carp fishing sanctuary.
Finally, ensure that you leave the site clean and tidy, as you found it, as failure to do so may result in immediate expulsion without refund. Please also be aware of an overhead power line at the entrance of the lake, which is positioned high enough not to interfere. In terms of fishing, only No Kill practices are permitted, with a maximum of three rods per angler, and great care must be taken when handling the fish.
Only cooked bait is permitted, and each rig must carry a single hook. Mandatory equipment includes a landing mat, barbless or pinched hooks, and a care kit is recommended. Finally, keepnets are prohibited, except when used with a floating sling for weighing, and leadcore rigs are also forbidden.
