Located in Pruniers, in the Indre department (36), L’étang des Ameneaux is a true haven of peace for carp fishing enthusiasts. This small 1.3-hectare lake (approximately 3.2 acres), nestled behind the owner Thierry’s house, offers a natural and authentic setting where serenity and simplicity are paramount. Here, the goal is not to break records, but to enjoy a moment of calm, relaxation, and sociable fishing.
With a maximum of only 4 anglers allowed at the same time, everyone’s privacy and tranquillity are preserved. Each angler has a comfortable space and can fully focus on their fishing session. The depth of the lake varies with the seasons, reaching up to 2 metres (approximately 6.6 feet) at its deepest point. The experience is suitable for all skill levels, offering a moderate fishing challenge.
In terms of facilities, L’étang des Ameneaux is equipped with dry toilets located in a small hut at the centre of the lake. For those visiting with family, a private swimming pool can be made available upon request—a real bonus to keep children entertained during fishing sessions. Whether you come for a weekend or just a day, this lake offers a unique and sociable fishing experience.

Rules of Étang des Ameneaux
General Rules
Respect for the environment is at the heart of L’étang des Ameneaux’s rules. It is strictly forbidden to damage vegetation, light ground fires, or discard cigarette butts on the ground. Fishing swims must be kept clean throughout the session, and all rubbish must be taken away upon departure. Dry toilets are provided in the middle of the lake, and their use is mandatory.
Swimming in L’étang des Ameneaux is strictly prohibited, but access to the private swimming pool is available upon request. The owner, Thierry, is on site and available at all times to answer questions or provide assistance if needed.
L’étang des Ameneaux accepts no responsibility for injury, theft, or damage occurring on the site. Each angler is responsible for their own equipment and its proper use. Management reserves the right to modify the rules at any time.
Rules of fishing
Fishing at L’étang des Ameneaux is strictly No-Kill. Live bait fishing is strictly prohibited. Each angler must remain attentive to their rods and never leave them unattended. In case of a temporary absence, lines must be retrieved.
Respect for the fish is paramount: it is strictly forbidden to mutilate or handle them carelessly. For every catch, the fish, landing mat, and net must be moistened. During photography, the fish should be held close to the ground and handled gently before being returned to the water in the best possible condition.
Mandatory equipment
Barbless Hooks: Hooks without barbs only (hooks with crushed barbs are accepted)
Large Landing Net: Suitable for the size of the fish caught
Safe Rigging: Setups must allow lead to detach in case of breakage or obstacle, for the safety of the fish
Prohibited Equipment
Keepnet: Fish must be returned to the water immediately after weighing and photographing

Cannes sans surveillance, marquage ou mutilation du poisson sont interdits.

Bateau conseillé pour la période du 15 mai au 20 juin, les pêcheurs seront équipés obligatoirement de gilets de sauvetage, rames et/ou moteur électrique uniquement.
Toutes les graines doivent être cuites.
Bouillettes fraîches uniquement (sans conservateur), un congélateur est à disposition à cet effet.
Feux au sol strictement interdits, barbecues sur pied autorisés.
Ne pas laisser mégots de cigarettes, capsules métalliques et autres détritus sur le poste, mettre les verres dans les poubelles noires et les autres déchets dans les containers situés à l’entrée du site.
Les chiens ne sont pas autorisés sur le site, ou uniquement tenus en laisse.
Les enfants sont sous la seule responsabilité de leurs parents.
Pas de bruits excessifs ni de radios trop fortes.
Vitesse maximale autorisée de 20 km/heure sur les accès.
Le propriétaire du domaine, Carp fighter et le domaine de Saint Frambault sont dégagés de toutes responsabilités en cas d’accident, de vols ou de dégâts matériels.
Toutes les photos prises sur le site pourront être utilisées à des fins commerciales par Carpfighter.(sauf demande contraire).
Toute personne contrevenant au présent règlement sera immédiatement exclue sans remboursement.
