Located in the Indre region, near La Châtre, in the heart of George Sand’s countryside, the Domaine de Feuilly is a sport fishing venue dedicated to carp anglers. Designed to provide maximum comfort for carp fishermen, the estate’s Grand Étang covers 3 hectares (≈7.4 acres), with a depth ranging from 1.2 to 3.5 meters (≈4 to 11.5 feet). With only four fishing swims available, the site ensures a peaceful and exclusive fishing experience. The pond is home primarily to koi and mirror carp.

The estate allows night fishing and is equipped with a video surveillance system to ensure safety. Guests and pets are welcome, provided that pets are kept on a leash.
Each fishing swim is accessible by car, with parking available nearby. The pond can also be booked exclusively for a more private and intimate fishing experience.
Fishing activities are permitted from 1:00 PM to 1:00 PM the following day, with no boating allowed on the pond from March 1st to November 15th. During other periods, three fishing swims are available, with the option to use a rowboat or bait boat. Pets are allowed, provided they are kept on a leash, and one companion per swim is permitted, with no restrictions for women and children. Visits must take place between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM and only through the main entrance.
Excessive alcohol consumption is prohibited, and barbecues are provided at each fishing swim (anglers should bring their own charcoal). Ground fires and bright lights on the pond are not allowed. Trash bins are available, but all waste must be taken away at the end of your stay. The estate is under video surveillance, and by agreeing to have your photos taken with your catches, you consent to their publication on the estate’s website and Facebook page.
Regarding fishing, wading is prohibited beyond boot height, except when catching sturgeon, for which the use of waders is recommended. Sturgeon must not be placed in the landing net. Each angler is limited to three rods, and baiting is unlimited, except during extreme heat, when restrictions may apply. Fish must be released immediately after photographs are taken. Only cooked particles are allowed, and predatory fishing is strictly prohibited.
Mandatory equipment includes a large landing mat, barbless hooks (or hooks with flattened barbs), and rigs that allow easy lead release. Only tents, brollies, and shelters in green, brown, black, or camouflage colors are permitted. Carp sacks, braided lines, leadcore, coated braid, and thick nylon leaders over 0.45 mm (≈45/100) are prohibited, as well as size 1 and 2 hooks.
