In the heart of the Allier region, a land of unspoilt nature and tranquillity in central France, lies the Domaine de Bouxier. Amidst this postcard-perfect landscape, the Domaine de Bouxier truly stands out. Its 21-hectare (52-acre) lake features just seven fishing swims, ensuring space, peace, and exclusivity. Home to carp exceeding 35 kg (77 lb), this venue is an unmissable destination for any passionate carp angler seeking both challenge and tranquillity in an exceptional natural setting.
The Domaine de Bouxier features a stunning 21-hectare (52-acre) lake, accommodating a maximum of 14 anglers across seven well-spaced swims—one of which is equipped for overnight stays. Each swim includes a wooden hut, providing both comfort and shelter, ensuring a relaxing and enjoyable fishing experience in the heart of nature.
Anglers have the freedom to use rowing boats and bait boats, and dogs are welcome on site (except in the gîte). Each swim offers the convenience of parking nearby, making setup easy and accessible. For an enhanced fishing experience, several swims are equipped with solid pontoons extending onto large 3×6 metre terraces, providing ample space for rod pods and comfortable fishing throughout your stay.
Arrival time is set for 2:00 p.m., with departure at 11:00 a.m.. Night fishing is permitted, and each angler may use a maximum of four rods. The use of braided mainlines and leadcore is strictly prohibited. Every catch must be treated with an antiseptic, and a proper unhooking mat is mandatory to ensure the fish’s safety and welfare.
The retention or sacking of fish is strictly forbidden. Hooks must not exceed size 1, and all rigs must be safe, allowing the lead to slide freely in case of a break-off. The use of rowing boats is mandatory for fish care and line management, with boat rental available on site for anglers’ convenience.
Stick markers are allowed, while H-markers are not permitted. The use of bait boats is authorised. Anglers are asked to keep their swims clean and maintain a quiet atmosphere out of respect for others. Swimming is strictly forbidden, and children must remain under the supervision of their parents at all times to ensure everyone’s safety.
The marking or mutilation of fish is strictly prohibited. The venue recommends the use of commercially prepared particles to ensure fish health and water quality. Dogs are welcome under certain conditions, and the estate is securely gated between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., guaranteeing safety and peace of mind for all guests.
The use of drones is permitted but only within the limits of your swim. The owners of the estate cannot be held responsible for any accidents or damages occurring on site. Before departure, guests are required to clean their chalet and floor area; failure to do so may result in an additional cleaning fee.
